Lisa is a commercial litigator focusing her practice in the areas of bankruptcy & creditors' rights. She is experienced in representing creditors in a variety of cases, including claims of lender liability, fraudulent transfers and breach of fiduciary duty, as well as in the filing of involuntary bankruptcy petitions. She also advises lawyers on how to avoid or defend against legal malpractice claims related to bankruptcy practice, as well as advises clients regarding asset purchases from a receivership or bankruptcy estate. 

Clients seek Lisa’s counsel to appoint receivers on behalf of creditors or for guidance in out-of-court workouts such as deeds in lieu of foreclosure, loan modifications or substitution of collateral. She has represented federal student loan guarantors for cases where the debtor sought discharge of student loan debt, and has pursued collection of unsecured and secured debts, by means of:

When I'm at home, you'll usually find me in the kitchen trying new recipes to feed three hungry children, and frequently asking them to reach something on the top shelf for me now that they're all taller than I am. 

To escape, we love to go camping and hiking with our two dogs.  Enjoying a campfire with family and friends and watching the stars silently twinkle always brings life back into perspective for me.
