Katie Brown is an employment and labor attorney in Nexsen Pruet’s Greenville office.

Prior to joining Nexsen Pruet, Katie worked as an Associate at a mid-sized firm where she focused her practice on the defense of governmental entities, businesses, insurers and policyholders in governmental liability, civil rights, premises liability and business litigation in state and federal courts. Katie also has experience in administrative law, having previously worked as an attorney for a contractor for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, focusing on Medicare coverage and reimbursement policy. 

Katie earned her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Wofford College and her law degree, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law. While in law school, she served as an Articles Editor for the ABA Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Journal and was inducted into the Order of the Wig and Robe.
